THE COTSWALDS
Of all my visits to England, this was a first for spending time in the countryside. I heard great things about Soho Farmhouse and for right reason. Our trip of a few days there was one of the best trips I’ve ever taken in my life. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We never had to leave the property - it had 3 restaurants, a movie theater, an indoor/outdoor pool and gym, tennis court, bicycles for each room, and on-site activities. I also loved that they delivered milk and cookies to your door every night. :)
WHERE TO EAT
Dishoom - A must in London. It’s a popular Indian restaurant with many locations. One of my favorite things about Dishoom (besides its food) is that they donate a meal to a child in need for every meal served.
Gloria Trattoria - 70s style Italian spot in Shoreditch. We only went for brunch, but I hope to go back for dinner the next time I’m in London. The servers are the nicest and French Toast and Eggs All Fiorentina are a must.
Eggbreak - All day breakfast cafe near Nottinghill.
Kiln - Walk-in only Thai restaurant with a rotating menu. Full of flavor and influenced by Burma, Laos, and Yunnan. I highly recommend.
Sketch - A necessary evil if you’ve. never been. The food isn’t great, in my opinion, but the fantastical interiors are worth the visit.
Campania - A little sliver of Italy in Shoreditch with its homemade pastas and homey interiors. I definitely recommend.
Thomas’ - Burberry’s gorgeous cafe perfect for a catch-up with a friend or meeting. They offer lots of teas and beautiful desserts.
Rochelle Canteen - A little cafe in Shoreditch with a short, modern menu. Super unassuming from the outside!
Lina Stores - Iconic Italian deli and pasta restaurant in Soho.
WHERE TO SHOP
Brick Lane Vintage Market - a popular destination for vintage shopping. Make sure to walk around the surrounding streets, as there are lots of vintage shops to explore.
Dover Street - a little street with gorgeous stores like Acne Studios and Victoria Beckham.
Bond Street - beautiful street with designer storefronts like Dior, Burberry, Chanel.
Sloane Street - another street with luxury shops.
Lexington Street - this is where you’ll find the gorgeous store that is Byredo and a bunch of other small boutiques worth taking a look around.
Harrod’s - no explanation needed.
WHERE TO EXPLORE
The many museums - I was able to visit the Dior Exhibit at the V&A museum, which I loved. It’s closed now, but I’m sure there are many others going on.
Broadway Market - fun market to get lost in with bookshops, street food, and little boutiques.
Portobello Road and Notting Hill - beautiful, colorful streets with lots of shops and food vendors.
